Enhanced Magnetic and Microwave Absorbing Properties of Nd<sup>3+</sup> Ion Doped CoFe<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> by Solid‐State Reaction Method

CoNd x Fe (2− ) O 4 ( = 0.0–0.05) spinel ferrites are successfully synthesized by mechanical milling using solid‐state reaction. The effects of Nd 3+ ions on structural, microstructure, and magnetic microwave‐absorbing properties samples analyzed. X‐ray diffraction pattern shows a single‐phase cobalt ferrite for all compositions. Refinement the structure that an increase in concentration leads to parameter volume unit cell decrease. Lattice strain arises crystal, limiting crystallite growth is confirmed from Williamson–Hall analysis. particle size doping decreases compared without doping. parameters, namely coercivity field saturation magnetization, strongly affected insertion ions. Another important role tuning performance microwave absorption. maximum reflection loss values gradually increased −12.65 dB (≈94.35% attenuation) up −28.57 (≈99.86% 0.0–0.05. Their effective bandwidth also 0.05 1 GHz. results exhibit ion‐doped has potential designing novel materials.
